Acacia Rigidula

With the days of ephedrine long behind us, many people out there looking to boost their metabolism are still searching for that supplement that can help them rip up those abs and strip away that waistline. Of course, there is no substitute for dieting correctly, but having something safe and legal to assist in ridding you of your excess fat is always a plus. Especially if it were something that gives you energy, boosts your metabolism and elevates your mood all at the same time. That “something” is Acacia Rigidula. This supplement is derived from a plant that is native to Mexico and Texas, which is an alkaloid. Acacia Rigidula itself contains some other pretty interesting alkaloids that can help you get rid of that unsightly bulge around your waist.

The application of Acacia Rigidula as a fat-burning supplement is very new. As a matter-of-fact, the entire idea of studying this plant has only come to light in recent history. However, the initial findings have been very interesting. One study of Acacia Rigidula reported the following alkaloids in Acacia rigidula: 2-Cyclohexylethylamine; N-2-Cyclohexylethyl-N-methylamine; Phenethylamine; N-Methylphenethylamine; N,N-Dimethylphenethylamine; Amphetamine; Methamphetamine; N,N-Dimethyl-a -methylphenethylamine; p-Hydroxyamphetamine; p-Methoxyamphetamine; Tyramine; N-Methyltyramine; Hordenine (anhaline); Dopamine; N-Methyldopamine; N,N-Dimethyldopamine; 3-Methoxytyramine; N-Methyl-3-methoxytyramine; 3-Hydroxy-4-methoxyphenethylamine; N-Methyl-3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenethylamine; 3,4-Dimethoxyphenethylamine, N-Methyl-3,4-dimethoxyphenethylamine; 3,4,5-Trihydroxyphenethylamine; N-Methyl-3,4,5-Trihydroxyphenethylamine; Mescaline; N-Methylmescaline; Trichocereine; 3,5-Dimethoxytyramine; 3,4-Dimethoxy-5-hydroxy-b -phenethylamine; b -Methoxy-3,4-dihydroxy-5-methoxy-b -phenethylamine; 3,4-Dimethoxy-a -methyl-5-hydroxy-b -phenethylamine; Tryptamine; N-Methyltryptamine; N,N-Dimethyltryptamine; Nicotine; Nornicotine; Anhalamine; Anhaladine (N-methylanhalamine); Anhalonidine; Peyophorine; Pipecolamide; p-Hydroxypipecolamide; 1,4-Benzezediamine and 4-Methyl-2-pyridinamine.
If you look through this list carefully, you will notice some extremely interesting alkaloids. There are five amphetamines listed that are thought to be man made. They have never been discovered in the natural world, and two of them are actually Schedule II drugs (amphetamine and methamphetamine) that could land you some time in the pokey in the United States. Two others are Schedule I drugs (N,N-dimethylamphetamine and 4-methoxyamphetamine), and the fifth one is a major human metabolite of amphetamine (4-hydroxyamphetamine). I could not find any documentation to verify the claims made by these researchers, but if the information is valid, then that is a rather amazing discovery. Not many plants contain five different drugs that were thought only to be made in underground labs.
Now… this information isn’t being included to encourage you to purchase Acacia Rigidula because it is a possible way to get drugs while circumventing the law. The point is to show that Acacia Rigidula could have the potential to be quite a powerful stimulant. The stimulants come from a natural source, so at least it is a better option of raising your metabolic rate as compared to artificial sources. The only thing left to determine is what the actual parts per million of these compounds are… if they are indeed present.
Other studies of the Acacia Rigidula plant have shown, and verified, that it does contain the alkaloid Dopamine. When this compound is ingested, it breaks down into norepinephrine (also known as noradrenaline), which is a catecholamine. Catecholamines are hormones that are released by the adrenal glands in situations of stress such as psychological stress or low blood sugar levels. Norepinephrine has two different roles in your body. It acts as both a hormone and a neurotransmitter. It is very involved in the chemical reactions in you body that keep your mood levels healthy. Depression has been linked to deficiencies in norepinephrine. Your ability to focus and pay attention is also linked to norepinephrine.
You may think that this has nothing to do with burning fat, but your mental state has a large effect on your body weight. When people are depressed, or in a consistently negative state of mind, they tend to compensate by eating “comfort foods.” This is why many depressed people end up putting on weight. In addition, people in that state of mind are less likely to engage in activity, especially a regimented workout system. They are much more likely to sit on the couch in front of the television for hours at a time. Staying focused is also critical to weight loss. It is not easy to watch your diet, get in the gym daily, and spend a half hour sweating it out on a piece of cardio equipment. Keeping your mind straight will play a big role in how successful you are in the gym.
Now, the part about norepinephrine that we care about right now is how it is directly related to weight loss. It helps weight loss in many ways. First of all, norepinephrine suppresses appetite, and if you are not eating too much, you will not gain body fat. Secondly, it is required for the release of human growth hormone (HGH), and it stimulates the release of luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH) from the hypothalamus. Both if these hormones are very involved in your body’s anabolic and metabolic systems. They not only help you burn up stored nutrients as energy, they help promote muscle gain. The more muscle that you carry, the more calories that you will burn throughout the day… even at rest. There is nothing better than burning more calories while you are doing absolutely nothing.
However, here is why we like norepinephrine the most. The release of norepinephrine (noradrenaline) activates adrenergic receptors, which increases cAMP levels in fat cells and muscle cells. What this does is it accelerates lipolysis in fat cells and increases protein synthesis in muscle tissue. Your body will be much more likely to utilize adipose tissue (body fat) in the production of energy. It will also use greater amounts of adipose tissue. In addition, as was mentioned in the last paragraph, the extra muscle that you gain from increased protein synthesis will help you get leaner too. When you discover a supplement that helps you burn fat AND gain muscle… you just have to make it part of your nutritional plan.
Cool thing number two that is found in Acacia Rigidula is an alkaloid called phenylethylamine. It is a thermogenic compound that greatly increases energy and fat loss. Once in the system, phenylethylamine breaks down into methylphenylethylamine and methylsynephrine, as well as other compounds, and it affects the neurotransmitters in the brain to create stimulant effects. However, unlike some stimulants such as ephedrine, it does it without making you feel jittery or uncomfortable.
This is because phenethylamine stimulates the thyroid gland. The thyroid is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. The thyroid gland is located in the neck just below the area that is known as the Adam’s apple in men. Your thyroid controls the rate the body burns energy, makes proteins, and how sensitive the body should be to other hormones. As you can see, this gland is extremely critical in the fat burning and muscle building processes. A supplement such as phenylethylamine, which has such a stimulating effect on the thyroid, can have a major impact on your success as a bodybuilder.
Phenethylamine (B-methyl-phenylethylamine) is a natural compound biosynthesized from the amino acid phenylalanine. The most popular food that contains ample amounts of it is chocolate, and like norepinephrine, phenethylamine has mood enhancing effects, so that is why chocolate is known to put people in better moods. Some researchers have insinuated that phenethylamine from food may have psychoactive effects if it is consumed in sufficient quantities. This does not mean that you should go out and eat chocolate to get phenethylamine. What you should do is find supplements that contain Acacia Rigidula.
Acacia Rigidula can be a potent member of your supplement team. It contains compounds that stimulate your thyroid, increase protein synthesis, enhance lipolysis, suppresses appetite, support the release of human growth hormone (HGH), stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone releasing hormone (LHRH), and it keeps you in a positive and happy mindset. These are all of the things that will maximize the effectiveness of the time you spend in the gym. Now you have a supplement with the potential to burn fat as well as ephedrine does and, unlike ephedrine, it also helps to build lean muscle mass.
Acacia Rigidula… don’t leave home without it!
